Qualifications:

Must Have:

-Valid Driver License

-Experience installing basic digital cable, HDTV, and DVR box.

-Experience installing cable modems and networking on customer’s computer(s).

-Experience installing ATA/MTA and all associated devices and connections to establish VoIP service.

-Maintain and service plant, including splicing hard-line coax, system balance, trouble shooting.

Prefer:

-Fiber Splicing/OTDR/trouble shooting.

-CLI.

-Head end knowledge.

-Sweep and Balance.

-Point to Multi-Point WiFi.

-Advanced computer/networking knowledge

Other Requirements:

-Report to work in compliance with the Company’s personal appearance and scheduling.

-Transportation to job site required, Truck and tools furnished at job site.

-Climb ladders and poles to heights of 32 feet

-Frequently lift objects that weigh up to 75 pounds such as ladders, spools of cable, etc.

-Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, sit and crawl during installation work.

-Manual dexterity to use hand and electric tools such as screw drivers, wire strippers/coring tools and compression tools, electric drills, test equipment such as toners and meters, etc.

-Operate bucket truck when working on poles and towers.

-No fear of heights or working in confined spaces, crawl spaces or attics to install cables and associated equipment.

-Knowledge of basic electronic devices such as meters and test equipment to determine signal level, leakage, etc.

-Interact with customers to include education of installed services (Cable, Telephone, Internet)

Job Description:

This job opening is for service and install, You will be one of three techs working 4 ten hour days per week. You will be responsible for disconnects/reconnects, service, and installs. If you are properly qualified you will understand what this job in-tails. We are a small fiber to the home company who has added 15 employees in the past 5 years. We are currently over-building 50+ miles of Charter Cable with or fiber in addition to building rural American per year.
